Henry Rollins

I nominated Henry Rollins for commencement speaker at Antioch's graduation this year (which is also my graduation):

Henry Rollins is a politically-motivated spoken word artist, musician, writer, and actor that has been an alternative icon for about 25 years. His musical outfits include Black Flag and Rollins Band, his writing is prolific and frequently published, his spoken word is chronicled on numerous CD and DVD releases, he tours regularly around the world, he runs his own publishing company, and he is a well-known character actor in Hollywood. His personality and politics are irreverent and no-holds-barred, and he probably angers as many people as he inspires. He is been a huge inspiration to me as a person and an artist, and I know there are a lot of fans of his at Antioch, it being a hub of cult and fringe subculture and all.

I don't know what his price is, but I do know that he is generally willing to do any show, any venue, if his schedule allows it. (He's a workaholic.)
